Today in the capable hands of Alexia and Pierre Boyer, the estates of Château Milon and Clos de la Cure represent more than seven generations of viticultural heritage.
The purchase of a further 4.5 hectares in 2008, situated on superb gravel terroir, increased the area of the estate to 18 hectares.
In 2010, a parcel of 56 ares (1.38 acres) in Pomerol, was added to the vineyards of the estate. Situated on the exceptional terroir of this prestigious appellation, Clos 56 was born.
The domain works a vineyard of high viticultural quality and treats it with all the respect due to a Grand Cru: an ecological approach to the running of the estate; carefully controlled yields and vinification and aging processes that bring out the best in the terroir. A production process that results in wines of high quality, marked by the fullness of ripe Merlot with intense red fruit aromas underpinned by delicate tannins.
