Soil: old sandy soils, sandstone (hardpan) and iron dross scoria in one portion and gravel in the other
Age of vineyard: probably first planted in the Middle Ages
Average age of vines: 25-30 years old
Grape varieties: 75% Merlot
25% Cabernet Franc
Harvest: manual and machine picking
Vine density: 6600-9000 vines per hectare
Yield: 35-40 hl per hectare
Vine culture: pruned guyot-simple; debudding; leaf-thinning and green harvest
Vinification: prefermentation cold soaking. Vinification in tank with punching down and 3-4 weeks post-fermentation maceration in temperature controlled tanks.
Maturation: 12-15 months in barrel (30% new)
Conservation: 10-15 years
