Vineyard situation: a portion of the vines are situated at the base of the Saint Christophe des Bardes slope, the rest are situated on the gravel soils of Saint Sulpice
Surface area: 2 hectares
Soil: old sandy soils, sandstone (hardpan) and iron dross scoria in one portion and clay in the other
Age of vineyard: probably first planted in the Middle Ages
Average age of vines: 25-30 years old
Grape varieties: 75% Merlot
25% Cabernet Franc
Harvest: manual and machine picking
Vine density: 6600-9000 vines per hectare
Yield: 40-45 hl per hectare
Vine culture: pruned guyot-simple; debudding; leaf-thinning and green harvest
Vinification: prefermentation cold soaking. Vinification in tank with punching down and 2-3 weeks post-fermentation maceration in temperature controlled tanks.
Maturation: 8-10 months in barrel
Conservation: 2-4 years
